Build the Skills. Take the Lead. Climb with Confidence.
This 3-day climbing series is designed for adults who want to safely set up and manage their own outdoor rock climbing days.
Whether you’re hoping to take your kids climbing, get outside with friends, or simply gain the confidence to handle anchors and systems yourself, this course gives you the knowledge, hands-on practice, and mentorship to make it happen.
This pass gets you access to the two on-site and outside workshops, where you’ll get hands-on experience and build the skills and confidence to lead your own top rope climbs!
What to Expect:
Day 1 – Foundations & Systems (Idle Hands Meet-Up | 2–3 Hours) - 5/26/26
We had a great group come and learn the basics of safety when building anchors, as well as what gear is required. For more insight into the conversation we had, check out the recap sheet here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aEUNTqdfM4_vd-sONLXmkFl2kdvaSqVtF3gsltpdyvg/edit?usp=sharing
If you missed the first day, don’t worry! You are still welcome to join us for the next two workshop days!
Day 2 – Build & Apply (Outdoor Skills Day): 6/7/26 @ Waitts Mount
Now we take it to the crag.
You’ll learn how to evaluate cliffs, identify strong anchor points, build top-rope systems, manage ropes, and approach climbing with a risk-management mindset.
This is a full day of skill-building focused on clear, repeatable systems you can confidently use on your own.
Day 3 – Run the System (Test Day): 6/20/26
This is where everything comes together.
You’ll take the lead in setting up climbs from start to finish while the guide steps back into a supervisory role. Think of this as a supported assessment day—you’re making decisions, building systems, and running climbs, with expert guidance there to double-check and coach when needed.
The goal is simple: leave feeling capable, competent, and confident managing your own climbing days.
