Injury Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk Policy

Effective Date: October 8, 2025

1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

By registering for, attending, or participating in any event, activity, or program organized by The Outside Social Club (“we,” “our,” “us”), participants acknowledge and agree that outdoor and recreational activities inherently involve known and unknown risks, including but not limited to:

• Slips, trips, and falls

• Exposure to weather, wildlife, and natural hazards

• Physical exertion and equipment use

• Transportation to and from activity locations

• Actions or omissions of other participants

Participants voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risks of personal injury, illness, property damage, or loss that may arise from participation, whether caused by their own actions, the actions of others, conditions of the activity area, or the negligence of The Outside Social Club, its employees, volunteers, contractors, agents, partners, or affiliates (collectively, the “Released Parties”).

2. Personal Responsibility & Safety

We take reasonable measures to promote safety at our events, including providing guidance, safety briefings, and, where applicable, equipment recommendations. However, each participant is ultimately responsible for their own safety, decisions, and actions.

Participants are expected to:

• Exercise caution and good judgment

• Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided

• Bring appropriate clothing, footwear, and gear for the activity and conditions

• Disclose any relevant medical conditions to event leaders before participating

• Refrain from participating if under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if otherwise impaired

Failure to follow safety instructions may increase the risk of injury and may result in removal from the activity without refund.

3. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants hereby waive, release, and discharge The Outside Social Club and all Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or related to participation in our activities, including but not limited to claims for:

• Personal injury, illness, or death

• Property damage or theft

• Emotional distress or mental injury

• Negligence (except for gross negligence or willful misconduct where not waivable by law)

This release applies whether such claims arise from the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

4. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Outside Social Club and all Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to:

• The participant’s acts or omissions

• Participation in activities

• Violation of this policy or any event rules

This includes claims brought by other participants, third parties, or governmental authorities.

5. Medical Treatment

Participants authorize The Outside Social Club and its representatives to secure emergency medical treatment on their behalf if deemed necessary, and agree to assume responsibility for any resulting medical costs. We do not provide health or accident insurance and encourage participants to carry their own insurance coverage.

6. Severability

If any provision of this policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

7. Consent & Acknowledgment

By registering for, attending, or participating in any The Outside Social Club activity, participants confirm that they:

• Have carefully read this policy and fully understand its terms;

• Are aware that they are waiving substantial legal rights, including the right to sue; and

• Do so freely and voluntarily.
