Event Overview:
Join us for a community trail run in partnership with Black Men Run Boston, centered on creating space for men of color and male allies to get outside, move their bodies, and connect with one another.
This isn’t about pace or performance—it’s about showing up. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just getting into it, this is a chance to build community, clear your head, and tap into the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of time spent outdoors.
Who It’s For:
This event is centered on men of color and welcomes male allies who are aligned with the intention of creating a supportive, inclusive space.
Why We Run:
Time outside has the power to reset, restore, and reconnect us—to ourselves and to each other. This run is about more than miles. It’s about community, well-being, and showing up for one another.
What to Expect:
We’ll start with a brief welcome and intention setting before heading out onto the trails as a group. The run will be conversational in pace, with options to accommodate different experience levels. Along the way, expect good energy, encouragement, and space to connect.
We’ll wrap up with time to hang out, reflect, and continue building community off the trail.
What to Bring:
Comfortable running shoes
Water
Weather-appropriate clothing
An open mindset
Stay Connected:
This is just the beginning. We’re building something consistent—come run with us and be part of it.

Event Overview:
Join us for a hands-on morning in the woods where we’ll slow down, learn the landscape, and give back to it.
This experience blends a guided plant identification walk with light volunteer work focused on removing invasive species and supporting the health of the local ecosystem. Anchor Building Workshop Series with Willard Mountain Guides
Build the Skills. Take the Lead. Climb with Confidence.
This 3-day climbing series is designed for adults who want to safely set up and manage their own outdoor rock climbing days.
Whether you’re hoping to take your kids climbing, get outside with friends, or simply gain the confidence to handle anchors and systems yourself, this course gives you the knowledge, hands-on practice, and mentorship to make it happen.
This pass gets you access to the two on-site and outside workshops, where you’ll get hands-on experience and build the skills and confidence to lead your own top rope climbs!
What to Expect:
Day 1 – Foundations & Systems (Idle Hands Meet-Up | 2–3 Hours) - 5/26/26
We kick things off in a relaxed, social setting with a casual Q&A and foundational skills session. Over a drink, we’ll cover essential knots, gear basics, anchor components, and the big-picture systems that make outdoor climbing safe and efficient.
You’ll get hands-on with equipment, ask questions freely, and start building the mental framework you’ll apply outside. This session also sets the tone for the weekend—helping you connect with others and find potential climbing partners.
This session is free to attend. Donations are encouraged, with proceeds split between supporting future programming through The Outside Social Club and local outdoor access initiatives like The Great Malden Outdoors.

Day 2 – Build & Apply (Outdoor Skills Day): 6/7/26
Now we take it to the crag.
You’ll learn how to evaluate cliffs, identify strong anchor points, build top-rope systems, manage ropes, and approach climbing with a risk-management mindset.
This is a full day of skill-building focused on clear, repeatable systems you can confidently use on your own.
Day 3 – Run the System (Test Day): 6/20/26
This is where everything comes together.
You’ll take the lead in setting up climbs from start to finish while the guide steps back into a supervisory role. Think of this as a supported assessment day—you’re making decisions, building systems, and running climbs, with expert guidance there to double-check and coach when needed.
The goal is simple: leave feeling capable, competent, and confident managing your own climbing days.
Pricing & Gear
Days 2 & 3: $250 for the full weekend experience
Day 1: Free (donation-based)
